Cincinnati Recorder ConSORT in ConCERT!

  • Behringer-Crawford Museum 1600 Montague Road Covington (Devou Park) KY 41011 U.S.A. (map)

Enjoy the fun of hearing pop & party music that people loved in the time of princesses, dukes, and jesters.

The Cincinnati Recorder Consort brings their precious blend of sweet sounds to the Behringer-Crawford Museum on Saturday, Nov. 15, 11am. Riverboat Room.

The consort features Recorders (“Blokfluiten”) from small Soprano (like your kid in 4th grade has) to Contrabass, which is taller than most people. This concert also features small Percussion and Cornamuses (early reed instruments).

Most people are surprised to hear a full consort of Recorders, played beautifully as they were for centuries before the screeching of pre-middle school assembly programs.

Music of Gabrielli, Byrd, Buxtehude, Bach, Praetorius, and others.

What a great outing for all ages! BCM’s spectacular Holly Jolly Days (opening Tuesday, Nov. 11) brings holiday miniature trains, actual costumes and props from the 1954 movie "White Christmas,” and BCM’s core exhibits of Ice Age fossils, an actual Trolley, and the beauty of Northern Kentucky Culture and History.

Once inside the Museum, the concert is free and open to the public of ALL AGES. BCM offers free onsite parking.
